Pasco School Board to bless more district reorganization
Pasco schools superintendent Kurt Browning brings a spate of proposals to the School Board next week to cement in place more of his district reorganization plans.
On the board agenda, Browning is asking the board to approve his organizational chart, new job descriptions for chief finance officer and executive directors of administration and support services, and reallocations of several personnel.
He has nominated David Scanga and Beth Brown as learning community executive directors, and Tina Tiede as assistant superintendent on assignment. He has named Mark Fox as director of maintenance, and is expected to appoint Renalia DuBose as executive director for administration and Olga Swinson as chief finance officer.
Interviews for the communications director job are scheduled for Wednesday, so that appointment also could come soon.
School Board members have not questioned any of Browning's moves to date. He has said he wants to refocus the district office to better serve schools, and this is part of that plan. More moves are likely. Stay tuned.
