More than a year later than expected, the Pasco County School Board is ready to give the public full online access to all its agenda items, including backup materials.

Included in its pages-thick agenda packet for next Tuesday was a small note letting recipients know they won't be getting their biweekly delivery anymore. Starting with the Feb. 1, 2011, agenda, all the materials will be available for viewing at www.pasco.k12.fl.us under the School Board tab.

The items should be posted after 2 p.m. on the Tuesday before the meetings, if everything goes as planned. Now residents will have no excuse for not knowing ahead of time what the board is talking about. Maybe the district will even save some money on paper.
