Pasco school plant manager drops his bid to save his job
Back in the fall, David Simpson hired prominent First Amendment lawyer Luke Lirot to fight his firing from the Pasco County school district.
Simpson stood accused of sexually harassing more than one female co-worker, and claimed that the district's allegations against him were neither substantiated nor valid. He demanded a hearing before the School Board.
That hearing had been scheduled for this coming Tuesday. Until Simpson withdrew his appeal after a day of depositions earlier this week.
Board attorney Dennis Alfonso said Simpson will remain on unpaid leave through the end of his contract in the summer, and will not be rehired.
