Pasco schools seek input on four-day weeks

14

December

As part of its investigation into ways to save money, the Pasco School Board has launched a task force to study whether a four-day school week might offer a solution.

As the panel studies the issue, it is asking residents for their thoughts on the topic. It has launched an online, anonymous survey to gain those insights.

It's supposed to take about 10 minutes to fill out. Questions include:

  • If the district adopts a four-day school week, which of the following would you prefer? Monday-Thursday, with Fridays off / Tuesday-Friday, with Mondays off / I don't have a strong preference
  • If the district does move to a four-day school week, what could they do to ease the transition? (open ended)

After you're done with the survey, let us know what you think, too. Should the school district adopt a four-day week? Why or why not?
