But Kylene Nelson, the Pasco middle school teacher who was found drunk at school two weeks ago, decided to open up for Inside Edition.

Nelson did little more than express her embarrassment and offer apologies for her behavior, which has been described as provocative dancing in front of students before being removed from her Rushe Middle School classroom.

"I wasn't thinking. I wasn't thinking straight obviously," she told the syndicated television program.

School district officials did not comment for the show, saying they wanted to protect Nelson's privacy beyond what already had become public through available records and student recordings.

Nelson, who already had been suspended from the district for a 2006 drinking incident, has resigned from the Pasco school district.
