Pasco teachers plan another SB 6 rally

Pasco school teachers will either cheer, boo or urge a veto when they gather in three spots Thursday to rally one more time about Senate Bill 6. It all depends on whether Gov. Crist vetoes the bill, signs it or sits on it for another day.

In any event, the United School Employees of Pasco wants to give members and supporters one last chance to shout out their opposition to the bill that would change the way teachers are hired, evaluated, contracted and certified.

Here's the nitty gritty: The rally takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at K-Mart Shopping Plaza (Near the old Publix) on Hwy 301 in Zephyrhills; Big Lots Shopping Center at Hwy 41 and SR 54 in Land O’ Lakes; and Old Publix Shopping Center on the corner of U.S. 19 and SR 52 in New Port Richey.
