Pasco's only F school gets new assistant principal
A couple of weeks ago, we reported that Pasco schools superintendent Heather Fiorentino had removed the assistant principal from Gulf Highlands Elementary School -- Pasco County's lone F-rated elementary.
The move came shortly after Fiorentino replaced the school's principal.
Now comes news of the appointment. Fiorentino has named Keri Allen, a literacy coach from Lake Myrtle Elementary, to the assistant principal job. Of note, she comes from the same school as new principal Kara Smucker.
The new leadership team has already begun efforts to turn the school around. We'll be keeping tabs on the job at hand and update you regularly.
