Education news and notes from Tampa Bay and Florida

Pearson, defend yourself

14

June

It's not officially an agenda item.

But the delay in FCAT results has Florida education types in a dither. Everyone's trying to show how furious they can be.

So expect some sort of angry display at Tuesday's State Board of Education meeting, where the board has "invited" NCS Pearson president Douglas Kubach to attend for questions.

Pearson, which faces millions in fines, has already issued a formal apology. Anyone think that will be good enough?

You can watch the fallout, if any, on the webcast from the DOE's main page. The meeting scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Enjoy.
