Interim Pinellas Superintendent John Stewart is recommending that Charlene Einsel become the district's new chief turnaround officer.

If the school board approves next week, Einsel will be working closely with the district's most struggling schools. She's currently a principal on special assignment who works with the district's Response to Intervention efforts.

Rita Vasquez served briefly as the previous CTO until she was promoted to regional superintendent in February.
