Pinellas County school board members on Tuesday approved the appointment of Charlene Einsel to assistant superintendent/chief turn-around officer. Formerly a principal on assignment overseeing Pinellas' Response to Intervention efforts, Einsel's promotion means she will work with the district's most struggling schools. She will make $102,587 annually, up from $91,595. Einsel replaces Rita Vasquez, who served in the position briefly before being promoted to regional superintendent.
