Pinellas School Board votes tonight on reassignments, closings
Scores of parents are expected to show up tonight for a Pinellas School Board vote on a budget-cutting package that would close several schools and save money on busing by moving thousands of elementary school children to different schools next year.
The meeting will be at 5 p.m. at district headquarters, 301 Fourth St. SW, Largo. People who want to speak should sign in at the door. To view the board meeting live, go to wpds.tv, then click the “Watch Our Live Web Stream” link in the blue box.
The meeting will be rebroadcast on WPDS-TV 14 at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, at midnight Friday and at 8 a.m. Saturday for two weeks after the meeting. Some earlier reports incorrectly said the meeting would be broadcast live.
