Pinellas schools closed Monday
From the Pinellas County School District:
All Pinellas County Schools and offices will be closed Monday, August 27.
All before-school and after-school activities and programs scheduled for Monday, August 27 are cancelled.
Students should not report to school and PCSB employees should not report to work on Monday, August 27.
Due to the current forecast of Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac and its projected impact on Pinellas County, Superintendent John Stewart made the decision to close all schools and district offices for Monday, August 27. The Superintendent and staff are in close contact with Pinellas County Emergency Management and will continue to monitor Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac.
Under the current storm forecast, it is unknown if schools will open Tuesday, August 28. After an assessment Monday a decision will be made about the status of Pinellas County Schools moving forward during the week, and that information/decision will be shared with the media and community as soon as possible in the following ways:
