Pinellas students learn today if they were accepted to magnet, fundamentals

It's finally here. Acceptance day.

Students who applied to magnet programs, fundamental schools and career academies in the Pinellas County School District find out today whether they were accepted. The application period for the popular programs ended Jan. 23. (Competition for the programs is fierce, as the Times wrote last year.)

Students need to check into the student reservation system to find out their status. Then, if they were invited to a program, they must accept the invitation before Feb. 20. That part is important: if a student doesn't accept by Feb. 20 their application expires.

For more information, visit the district's website.
