Pinellas teachers union president Kim Black went national on Fox Tuesday, responding to Republican governors nationwide who are going after unions, collective bargaining, pensions, etc. In the same breath, she mentioned Florida's No. 5 ranking in Education Week and to recent news that Florida teacher salaries are dropping to No. 47: "That's shameful," she said. "Teachers aren't getting wealthy on pensions or a paycheck. They're educating the minds of the future."
