Pinellas teachers union to Crist: Veto SB 6
In this new letter, Pinellas teachers union president Kim Black urges Florida Gov. Charlie Crist to veto SB 6, saying it is "unconscionable that teachers, school boards and superintendents did not have a seat at the table when decisions of this magnitude were made regarding our profession."
Black penned the letter Friday afternoon, after she, union executive director Marshall Ogletree, Superintendent Julie Janssen and businessman/philanthropist Gus Stavros met with Crist.
"I know, firsthand, of your support for Pinellas County Schools," Black writes, "and we need that support now more than ever."
