Pinellas: We've met class size requirements

Here's some news that's better late than never: The Pinellas school district believes it has met class size requirements this year, unlike some districts (Pasco, Manatee, Broward, Miami-Dade ... ) which could soon be facing fines.

Data that Pinellas submitted to the state Department of Education last month shows no schools out of compliance. The DOE will be doing its own calculations in coming weeks to determine which districts made it and which ones didn't, and how much they'll be fined. That announcement will likely come in December or January, a DOE spokesperson said.
