Poor science education puts U.S. economy at risk, new study says
Back in 2005, a report about the sorry state of science education in the United States led to increased attention and money going into the effort.
Five years later, the leaders who put together the report find little improvement.
"Our nation's outlook has worsened," the panel states. The report "paints a daunting outlook for America if it were to continue on the perilous path it has been following."
