Remember that UF-Jersey Shore fiasco?
The situation came to light back in May. A University of Florida student on a study abroad trip in Florence got in hot water after partying with cast members from MTV's Jersey Shore.
A UF professor on the trip initially threatened to send any participating students home to the U.S., but when the online tabloid site TMZ broke the story, the university reversed its hard-lined stance, saying students on the trip were free to occupy their free time however they wanted. With even the clothing store Abercrombie and Fitch trying to distance itself from the show's stars, it's no wonder a professor tried to get the Gators to stay their distance.
Well guess what -- the show has finally aired. And it turns out that it was not just one but two UF students, twin sisters, who were involved. MTV has a recap of the episode here. Pretty embarassing.
