Revised Florida teacher evaluation data still under review

6

December

Despite saying new data would be published in the morning, the Florida Department of Education has yet to publicly release updated information on the state's new teacher evaluation results. The revisions became necessary after the Hillsborough district reported problems with duplicate records, which also appeared in other district reports.

An official with the Pasco school district tells the Gradebook that the FLDOE sent new data to each district this morning, and gave districts until noon to submit corrections and changes. Like Hillsborough's, the initial Pasco report included duplicate data for teachers, which showed up in the percentage and number of unevaluated teachers.

The Pasco district has verified its new numbers, which remained at 3.6 percent of classroom teachers rated as "highly effective" and 94.8 percent as "effective." More details to come as we get them.
