Revised proposed Lastinger contracts
Attached below are the latest versions of the proposed professional development contracts, with the University of Florida's Lastinger Center, that will go before the Pinellas County School Board July 26. Also attached is the latest proposed "scope of work." In a previous post from Monday, we attached the earlier versions that were sent to us, but the district told us on Wednesday that they were not correct and asked that they be removed. The updated versions were sent to us last night.
We haven't gone through both sets of proposed contracts with a fine-tooth comb. But as far as we can tell, the only major difference is that the most recent proposed scope-of-work does not include the "agreement objectives" that were contained in the earlier version. Those objectives were:
1. Improve teacher practice to enhance student achievement.
2. Build district capacity related to the multiple components of this partnership work.
3. Improve the long-term performance of participating schools with measurable improvements in school culture and instructional practice over time.
4. Support the development of inquiry (i.e., action research) as a foundation for district-wide school improvement and educator learning.
