Seniors get one more day for testing after fire alarm prank
A student prank at Sunlake High School in Land O'Lakes has forced the school to extend senior exams for one extra day this week. Seniors were supposed to be done with classes and tests today, with their graduation set for May 28.
But David L. Riscile, a 20-year old student at the school, has been arrested on allegations of arson for setting off a fire alarm at the school on Wednesday, according to a Pasco Sheriff’s Office report. Sprinklers went off, filling one building with water and forcing a student evacuation during sixth-period testing.
"We will be offering makeup exams from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday for any senior that feels that are on the cusp and it could help them positively," assistant principal Shawn Hohenthaner said. "Any other students will be exempt."
