Stanley Levy nominated for USF board of trustees
Stanley Levy, a retired accountant, was appointed to the University of South Florida's Board of Trustees by the state's Board of Governors. The Florida Senate must confirm the appointment.
Levy earned a bachelor's degree from USF in 1973 and later served on boards advising the school's business and accounting programs. He is a former senior partner at Tampa's Grant Thornton firm.
Board of Governors members noted Levy's financial expertise in appointing him for a four-year term. There is a second vacancy on USF's board that still needs to be filled, most likely at the Board of Governors' next meeting in March.
