Stewart: No big change in communications department
Interim Superintendent John Stewart has put the kabosh on former Superintendent Julie Janssen's proposed reorganization of the district's communications structure. He told board members at Tuesday's workshop that there won't be any new positions and current job descriptions won't change that much.
Janssen had proposed creation of a "chief communications officer" (following a consultant's recommendation) and recommended it be filled by district TV manager David Cook. Stewart also promised to improve communications between district staff and the board. "We have not served you like we should," he said.
