Support for Bright Futures weakens, Quinnipiac poll shows
Floridians still oppose cutting support for the Bright Futures scholarship program as a way to balance the state budget. But that opposition isn't as strong as in the past, a newly released Quinnipiac University poll of voters shows.
The April 6-13 survey results indicate that 65 percent of respondents do not favor cutting the scholarships, compared to 72 percent in January:
Bright Futures remains in play this session. Maybe this poll will provide lawmakers some needed guidance.
