An 8-year-old Pensacola girl brought her teacher a small amount of marijuana today, the AP reports, saying "this is my mom's weed."

Sheriff's officials say they won't seek charges against the kid. But the mom now faces investigation by law enforcement and the Department of Children and Families.

As a side note, the Orlando Sentinel ran a house ad right under the web version of the story saying, "Think you have the best mom ever? Prove it and tell us why. You could win a $100 Darden gift card."

Wonder if the girl will be sending in anything on her mom.
