A report on the "State of the District" in Pinellas County schools will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Pinellas Schools administrative offices, 301 Fourth Street SW, Largo. The report will be given at a meeting of the Pinellas Council of PTAs.

    Speakers include School Board Chairwoman Carol Cook and Associate Superintendent for Operational Services Michael Bessett.

   The event is open to the public, and parents of Pinellas schoolchildren are encouraged to attend.
