Tooting Giuliani's Horne
First, Sen. John McCain grabbed former Florida State Board of Education chairman Phil Handy as an education adviser to his presidential campaign. Then, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney announced that John Winn, who resigned as Florida education commissioner in February, would sit on his ed team.
Now another former Florida education big-wig has joined yet another GOP presidential hopeful's campaign. Jim Horne (left), who served as education commissioner under Jeb Bush from 2001-2004, will serve on Rudy Giuliani's education advisory board, our sister blog the Buzz reports. Pasco superintendent Heather Fiorentino also is stumping for Giuliani as a county campaign chair.
