Top 10 Florida school districts with the most inflated graduation rates
Around Tampa Bay, Hillsborough is tops when it comes to the biggest gap - 12 percentage points - between its official graduation rate and a truer rate that doesn't discount at-risk students who transferred into adult education programs. But it's not No. 1 statewide.
That distinction falls to tiny Liberty County in the Panhandle, which had a 16.5 percentage point gap between the two rates. Rounding out the Top 10: Columbia, Escambia, Seminole, Union, Jackson, Hillsborough, St. Lucie, Volusia and Marion.
