Two more apply for expected Pasco board vacancy
Candidates itching to replace Cathi Martin on the Pasco School Board continue to file applications to Gov. Crist's appointments office, even as the governor awaits word from Martin.
The latest two are Richard M. Corcoran, a former chief of staff to former House speaker Marco Rubio, and Anthony N. Terranova, a fifth-grade teacher at Cotee River Elementary School. Four other hopefuls got their paperwork in earlier this week.
Corcoran previously had made noise about running for the State House District 45 seat. If he snags the School Board post, he would get a public platform right along side Kathryn Starkey, who already has announced her plans to run for the District 45 seat that Tom Anderson will leave in 2010.
The governor's office won't begin reviewing the files until after Martin officially resigns. The latest word is that her letter could be submitted on Monday.
