Two more evaluations of Janssen trickle in, one still outstanding

Since we last posted four of the seven Pinellas County school board member evaluations of superintendent Julie Janssen, two more have come in.

Click the links below to see appraisals from Lew Williams and Janet Clark.

(Board chair Carol Cook has said she doesn't expect to complete hers before Tuesday's board meeting, during which members plan to vote on whether to terminate Janssen's employment.)

Williams rated Janssen as "meets expectations" in four of eight categories, "below expectations" in one and "unsatisfactory" in two. He said she "exceeds expectations" in the area of curriculum planning and development.

Clark gave Janssen four "below expectations," one "unsatisfactory" and three "meets expectations."

Looking across all seven board evaluations of Janssen, the only area where she received all "meets expectations" or above was in curriculum planning and development: four "meets expectations," one "exceeds expectations" (from Williams, as we said) and one "clearly outstanding" (from Peggy O'Shea).
