Two seek to replace transferred Chasco Middle School principal

Less than a week ago, Pasco schools superintendent Heather Fiorentino pulled Christine Wolff from Chasco Middle School to run John Long Middle, the county's largest middle school.

Today, she's interviewing candidates to take over Chasco.

Two current administrators -- Pine View Middle assistant principal Brandon Bracciale and Crews Lake Middle assistant principal David Huyck -- have applied for the post, which became open through a domino effect created when Fiorentino named Long principal Beth Brown as executive director for secondary education.

The goal is to have someone in place well before the school year begins on Aug. 22. The district also has principal openings at Mary Giella Elementary and Shady Hills Elementary, and it has readvertised for a new human resources director.
