UCF video game grad school gets a visit from the guv
UCF's aspiring video game creators are getting a special visitor today: Gov. Charlie Crist.
Crist is touring the video gaming program and state-of-the-art facilities in downtown Orlando today, as part of a visit that will end with a roundtable discussion on the state's digital media industry.
Center for Emerging Media campus today and get a sneak peek at several student-made games.
His tour starts at 1:15 p.m., part of a daylong tour of Central Florida’s video-gaming industry. He will get to see UCF's Studio 500 facility, which features one of the largest motion-capture studios on the East Coast, plus an adjacent sound stage, production offices and editing suites.
Crist will also watch students demonstrate the video games they've created. Maybe they could create a new video game, Election Standoff 2010?
