Forbes has released its annual list of America's best colleges, giving Gators reason to celebrate.

The University of Florida is ranked first among Florida schools -- number 80 out of 650 schools total. The next closest Florida university is the University of Miami, at No. 132. The next closest public state university is New College, in Sarasota, at 189. Princeton University came out first overall. 

Forbes made its picks based on five general categories: post graduate success, student satisfaction, debt, four-year graduation rates and competitive awards.
