Union director Jade Moore is hospitalized
Jade Moore, the long-time executive director of the Pinellas Classroom Teachers Association, has suffered another stroke and has been hospitalized, according to union president Kim Black. Moore’s previous stroke came in January. Few other details were available Wednesday afternoon.
The 61-year-old Moore (left) is a prominent figure in local political and civic circles. He and Black have been involved in a particularly tough set of issues lately, from a controversy over the middle school schedule to ongoing bargaining sessions with the district that so far have resulted in no pay increases for teachers.
“We are praying for his recovery,” Black said.
