Used colostomy bag lands Pinellas school janitor in deep, uh, trouble

A Pinellas school janitor may be fired after threatening to put a used colostomy bag in another employee's locker. That employee discipline case is one of three doozies on the school board's latest agenda. Read more here.

UPDATE ON SEPT. 10: The janitor's sister sent The Gradebook a letter today, offering more details about her side of the story.

According to Jodie Hollis, Debbie Legault was frustrated by a hostile work environment. Hollis said Legault never brought a used colostomy bag to the work site. Instead, Hollis said, Legault brought an empty plastic bag that she showed to another employee and said, "I'm tired of this bulls---."

"Many mistakes were made on both parties but Ms. Legault has been treated unjustly," Hollis wrote. "Ms. Legault's biggest mistake was not reporting each and every incident in this career."
