USEP picks its favorites for Pasco School Board
With two of its three endorsed candidates ousted in the August primary, the United School Employees of Pasco political action committee has reconsidered the remaining field and announced its recommendations for the November general election.
The group is suggesting that voters support:
Cynthia Armstrong for District 3 -- It liked her experiences as a teacher and businesswoman, her balanced approach to contentious issues and her thorough preparation.
Alison Crumbley for District 4 -- It praised her commitment to schools, her business background and her straightforward responses to key education issues.
Steve Luikart for District 5 -- It also recommended Luikart, a retired school administrator, in the primary for his "nuanced, thoughtful answers" to education issues and his "demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to our school system, employees and students."
