USF frat tries to make a comeback
It's not easy for a fraternity to bounce back from a university-sanctioned suspension for misconduct, the USF Oracle reports.
The USF chapter of Beta Theta Pi was suspended earlier this year for misbehavior at the fraternity's international convention after being cited last year for violating the university's alcohol policy.
The fraternity has been searching for new recruits in recent weeks – males who do not necessarily want to "go Greek," according to Patrick Long, one of the remaining members. Such recruits may not be as focused on drinking and partying and often make better leaders, Long told the Oracle.
