USF med school will use Michael J. Fox Foundation grant to study Parkinson's
Dr. Robert Hauser, director of the University of South Florida Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center of Excellence, will use a $124,996 grant from the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to identify different forms of Parkinson’s disease, USF Health officials announced Wednesday morning.
Hauser will work with Michael P. McDermott of the University of Rochester. USF was among seven research teams worldwide to receive a total of $710,000 in total funding to study various forms of Parkinson's that may differ in terms of development, progression and response to treatment.
