Is your school safe?
Your school might have plans in place for a hurricane or other major disaster. But chances are, it's not ready for the wide variety of emergencies that could arise, according to a new report from the US Government Accountability Office. Consider this: "56 percent of all school districts have not employed any procedures in their plans for continuing student education in the event of an extended school closure, such as might occur during a pandemic, and many do not include procedures for special needs students."
