DeSoto superintendent on the ropes
WINK-TV is reporting the DeSoto School Board has called for the removal of elected superintendent Karyn Gary, amid concerns that she could face criminal charges over actions while in office.
A district investigation alleges that Gary hired to employees to positions that did not exist, among other misdeeds. "The falsified contract. Failure to report the budget in a timely manner. Reporting inaccurate figures. Numerous other issues," board member Deborah Snyder said, according to the news report.
Gary reportedly took issue with the accusations, and said she is the target of the board. See video below.
