Dismissal hearing for former Connerton Elementary principal is canceled
The Pasco School Board has called off its Thursday hearing where it was to have considered a recommendation to fire Anna Falcone, who was removed in March as principal of Connerton Elementary School.
"In anticipation of a written agreement, we have canceled the hearing," district spokeswoman Linda Cobbe told the Gradebook. Attorneys for Falcone, who has fought her dismissal, and the district are working out the details, which are not yet complete.
Superintendent Kurt Browning already has appointed Aimee Boltze as Connerton's new principal, and said he would not reappoint Falcone to an administrative post for 2013-14. Administrators have one-year contracts and serve at the pleasure of the superintendent, with the approval of the School Board.
The new administrative appointments are due out next week.
