Hernando technology director to leave for PHCC
BROOKSVILLE — The Hernando County School District’s director of technology and information services is leaving the district to take over as dean of institutional technology at Pasco-Hernando Community College.
Melissa Harts, who begins Monday in the new position, has been with the Hernando school district since August 2002 and has served as the director of technology and information services since July 2008. Her official last day with the district was Friday.
She will make $83,609 in the new position, according to the college. She made $77,500 with the school district.
Harts submitted a brief resignation letter on Aug. 21.
“It has been a blessing working with the TIS Department, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors,” she said.
