Pinellas names support employee of the year
Pinellas County Schools named today its support employee of the year.
Donna Crosby, a secretary for the school district's performing arts department, took the honor. It was announced during a breakfast today at Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater. She will represent Pinellas in the state contest later this year.
Crosby won the "limited involvement with students" category, one of three categories with finalists. Other category winners included: Sandra Frazier, cafeteria manager, in the "indirect involvement with students" category; and Kerry Afflitto, a clerk, won the "direct involvement with students category.
Crosby was praised as an ambassador for Pinellas County Schools whose "naturally engaging personality" gives her a unique ability to form positive relationships. She also was credited for her work ethic, knowledge and customer focus.
