Pinellas School Board elects chairperson, vice-chairperson
The Pinellas County School Board voted Tuesday to keep its chairwoman, Carol Cook, for another year. It also voted to make Linda Lerner its new vice-chairwoman, replacing Peggy O'Shea.
Board member Robin Wikle nominated both Cook and Lerner.
Cook received votes from Rene Flowers, Wikle and Terry Krassner. Cook voted for herself. Lerner received votes from Flowers, Wikle and Krassner. Lerner voted for herself.
O'Shea got nods for both chair and vice-chair, but lost on the votes.
