Principals are repurposed in Hillsborough
Under fire for carrying former principals on the payroll in ill-defined, yet high-paying jobs, the Hillsborough County School District found new positions for some of its administrators "on special assignment."
Among the appointments:
Raymond Padgett, who was principal of Pierce Middle School, will be department manager in external communications. Pablo Gallego has been serving as acting principal of Pierce.
Johan Von Ancken, 38, the former principal of Hillsborough High School, was moved into one of the undefined positions and will now be principal of Eisenhower Middle School.
Tim Binder, who also has been "on special assignment," is being named principal of Learey Technical College.
Krystal Lofton, who used to be the principal of Potter Elementary School and then went into a job in the Area 4 office, will be principal of Folsom Elementary School.
