Springstead High principal will delay retirement until end of school year
SPRING HILL — Springstead High School principal Susan Duval will be sticking around, at least for a little while longer.
After initially planning to retire in January, Duval, 66, was asked to remain at the school through the end of the 2013-14 year to ease the transition to a new administrator at Hernando County’s top-performing high school.
She will stay on until June.
“They didn’t want to have any problems transitioning anyone in here,” Duval said.
