Water line break closes FLDOE building
It hasn't been the most stellar couple of weeks for the Florida Department of Education.
Education Commissioner Tony Bennett resigned amid a scandal that he changed school grades for a GOP donor.
Yesterday, they lost Frank Brogan, chancellor of the state's university system, to Pennsylvania.
Now a car has "hit and ruptured" the water lines that feed into the Florida Department of Education's headquarters in Tallahassee, per a press release. The building was forced to close for health and safety reasons.
At least there was no damage to the building, and there are no injuries.
For those needing to reach department staff, they're working today via email and (likely cell) phone. The department expects its building to reopen tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
