Deion Sanders, his own charter school and a star-studded staff

Yeah, Jesuit has a lot of NFL coaches on its staff, as our Joey Knight wrote in today’s paper.

But check this story out in Dallas, from The Morning News. Any ex-NFL guy can be a high school coach. It takes Deion Sanders to co-found his own charter school – the Prime Prep Academy.

Neon Deion will join two other ex-Dallas Cowboys, Kevin Mathis and George Hegamin, as coaches. It seems as if some Dallas high school coaches aren’t happy about it, for some reason. Wonder why.

I’ve heard plenty about Sanders mentoring younger players – for better or worse – and he helped out at the Under Armour All-America Game in January.

Here’s my question: What former NFL player would you most want as your coach (or coaching your son)? I'll take Emmitt Smith, but only until Peyton Manning retires.
