Pasco ATH Janarion Grant maybe holds the North Suncoast's unofficial all-time TD record

28

November

I think Pasco ATH Janarion Grant has added another accolade to his resume: All-time touchdown leader in the North Suncoast .

Unofficially. Maybe.

Now that I’ve offered enough ifs, I’ll explain.

Grant has scored 19 touchdowns this fall. He scored 30 as a junior (according to MaxPreps’ incomplete totals and our box scores), 12 as a sophomore and 16 as a freshman. That’s 77 for his career.

The Times’ archives don’t have a spreadsheet of career touchdown leaders, unfortunately, but I could piece an unofficial list together by searching a few names my colleagues and I thought might hold the record:

Tyrone Tomlin (Wesley Chapel): 70 touchdowns

Tevin Drake ( Nature Coast ): 69 touchdowns

Byronell Arline ( Ridgewood ): 65 touchdowns

Dwayne Mobley (Hernando): 60 touchdowns

Troy Hambrick ( Pasco ): 55 touchdowns

If any of those stats are wrong, or you think someone else might have more touchdowns, give me a shout in the comments below, or via email (mbaker@tampabay.com) or Twitter (@MattHomeTeam). I'll look up some other numbers and update this post accordingly.
