Rushing the field in the North Suncoast
In yesterday’s paper, I mentioned three big rushing performances from Friday night – Fivay’s Davion Sutton (190 yards, 4 TDs), Nature Coast’s Matt Breida (225 yards, 3 TDs) and Sunlake’s Eddie Burgos (152 yards, 4 TDs).
They weren’t the only other 100-yard rushers from Week 5. Some of the others (my apologies if I missed one, but if I did, comment below):
Mitchell RB Christian Trinidad: 140 yards in a loss to Sunlake.
Zephyrhills RB Willie Williams: Outgained Hudson by himself, running for 172 yards and two scores on 16 carries in the Bulldogs’ 41-7 win.
Pasco RB David Emmanuel: 143 yards on 16 carries with two TDs. It was Emmanuel’s third 100-yard game in four contests this year and the 16 th of his career. The D-I recruit also scored on a 12-yard interception return for a TD.
Springstead RB Daniel Wright: Sophomore racked up 101 yards on 23 attempts in the Eagles’ 20-7 win over Land O’Lakes.
Hernando QB Ra’Shaad Hart: 129 yards on eight carries and rushed for a 66-yard score in the Leopards’ 33-0 win over Central.
Sunlake QB Josh Zifer: Recorded the first 100-yard game of his career, rushing for 139 yards and balancing Burgos in the Seahawks’ important victory.
Ridgewood RB Elton Grigley: Averaged more than 10 yards per carry, finishing with 164 and a score.
